The Football Memories site we built last year was a great success, bringing in a huge number of memories about big events in the beautiful game.
So when we were approached and asked to develop the site further, into a whole network for sporting reminiscence, we were delighted to be involved again.
The team behind the network needed a system that was flexible and could deal with any number of sports, with more being added in the future alongside a launch lineup of six (cricket, football, golf, motorsport, rugby and track and field).
We customised the system we had already built for Football Memories to support different sports, building in a system of tags to allow each memory to be categorised in different ways depending on where it sits within the site.
We also developed a new, fresh design to match the network's ambitions.
How it works
The site is powered by plugins to our fuzzylime (cms+) software, which manage the custom elements such as the databases of memories and tags. They also allow the team behind the site to update the subsites' front pages with new links or picture in one quick and easy-to-use place.
What they said
"We commissioned fuzzylime to build us a suite of websites for a high profile international project. We supplied a basic brief to David and Jill and they then helped us identify the priorities for the sites - to be easy to use and navigate, to be visually stimulating and to incorporate and build on our branding throughout.
"The build process went really smoothly, fuzzylime kept us fully briefed on progress and provided a truly professional service. The commission was completed ahead of schedule and on budget and the finished sites exceeded our expectations in terms of design, functionality and ease of daily management.
"We have since commissioned further work from fuzzylime and have more plans in the pipeline."
