Close the Gap
Website design
The Close the Gap organisation is one of our longest-standing clients. We were approached by them back in 2013 to redevelop their website, and have had a really close working relationship ever since.
The site’s current look is the third since we began working with them, with its look evolving to reflect updated branding.
It contains a huge information around the important issue of women’s inequality in the workplace, and we worked to help structure that in a manner that makes it easy to use by a number of different sectors of visitors such as employers, trade union reps or employees themselves.
As well as the organisation’s main site, we’ve worked with Close the Gap to develop sites for Think Business, Think Equality and Close Your Pay Gap – tools that allow businesses to asses their performance around achieving workplace equality – and their Equally Safe at Work campaign.
Visit this siteWhat we did
Given the sector and messaging of the site, we needed to design something that would work without using much imagery – something we have done with each iteration of the organisation’s site.
The current site features boxes in a range of striking colours to help draw the eye in, without making the page feel cluttered.
The front page automatically pulls through new information such as publications, blog posts and tweets, meaning this will be updated frequently with minimal effort by the Close the Gap team. We’ve continued to work closely with them to provide training for new members of staff, helping ensure the site is kept up-to-date with new information whenever this is required. Our easy-to-use CMS helps with this.
They said …
We’ve worked with fuzzylime for 10 years now and they’ve developed a range of websites for us. They’ve also helped us create innovative online tools to help us build our stakeholder engagement work, which have been really popular and well-received.
From initial scoping to design to technical support they provide an excellent service and are always on hand to help. We’ll definitely continue to work with them in the future.
