We'd been aware of Snapdragon for a while. It was one of Jill's favourite online spots, brilliant for ordering gifts. So when Snapdragon's Jane Lindsey got in touch to ask us about revamping her site, we were delighted.
Snapdragon already had a loyal following but the site was looking a bit dated and was difficult to update and manage. It also made it tough to find a lot of the products that were on offer.
We revamped the site from the ground up. We gave it a bright new colour scheme and a really inviting look and feel. We also made it much easier for customers to find their way around, featuring categories right on the home page and also developing some code to show off new/well-loved products there.
Snapdragon allows a huge amount of product customisation and it was really important that that all worked automatically, so we built some extra coding allowing people to enter text or upload images to go with their orders, when they were needed (Snapdragon can choose whether they should be options when they're setting up products).
We also built a Wholesale section of the site, which will allow other stores to order specific items at a discount, with a minimum order price.
How it works
The site is powered by our fuzzylime (cms+) software with its e-commerce add-on, which we developed specifically to make managing an online shop as easy as it could possibly be, while still being a really powerful system with a vast number of features. We reckon Snapdragon possibly makes use of the widest range of these yet.
What they said
"David and Jill at fuzzylime have been absolutely fantastic at working hard to make me the website I dreamed of - they were patient and supportive, helping me decide exactly what I needed for my business, then delivering it swiftly and without fuss or extra costs.
"Their training and support have been excellent, and the whole experience has been smooth and straightforward. I now have a website which I am proud of and which has transformed my business."
