Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland is the new name for the Scottish Spina Bifida Association, who we first worked with in 2011. We were asked to take over the charity’s site (which had recently been redeveloped), to make it work with our content management system so it was easier for the team there to manage.
We’ve worked with the charity on a few projects through the years and when it came time for a major relaunch they asked us to be involved once again. The charity celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015 and marked the occasion with a new look and a new name – SBH Scotland – to reflect its wider remit.
With updated branding having been produced, we were asked to redevelop the site to make it simpler for users to navigate (the navigation on the old site was very confusing) as well as being more bright and inviting, and fully responsive for users on mobile devices.
The new site fits in really well with the charity’s look and feel and we gave special consideration to areas such as typefaces, ensuring these were easy to read for users with accessibility issues.
How it works
The site is powered by our content management system, fuzzylime (cms+). With the charity having now been using this platform for more than four years, it was simple for them to switch over to working on the new site – everything behind the scenes simply behaved in exactly the same manner!
