Logo design/Site design | www.myohome.co.uk
Helensburgh gift boutique MYO Home opened its doors in May 2014 but before the store had opened we were already working behind the scenes on its website.
We went for a daytrip to the seaside to visit MYO Home's owner Kate Young and find out more about her plans. She then commissioned us to build her shop's website, which was to feature information about the boutique itself as well as including the ability to buy online.
Kate also asked us to design the logo for the shop – she had an initial idea but asked us to build it into a finished version that could be used online, on stationery, on bags and indeed at the shop itself!
We were delighted to help out and work with Kate on this project, designing the site around a colour scheme she asked for and loading on many of the products. Near the end of the project, once we'd trained Kate in how to use our system, she kicked off loading products on herself straight away – boosting the number available at launch and also giving her the chance to feel at home with the CMS from the word go.
How it works
The site is powered by our content management system, fuzzylime (cms+), with our own e-commerce system plugged in to it. This means Kate can manage the entire site and everything related to it in one central place.
What they said
“Starting my own business was very challenging but I knew in this day and age I needed a web presence also. Not being particularly tech savvy I thought this would be very difficult.
“However, fuzzylime made it easy and enjoyable. From my first meeting with David and Jill I knew I could work well with them and they were so understanding of my requirements. They guided me through the process and all the pitfalls I needed to avoid and talked in language I could understand.
“I can throughly recommend fuzzylime and I have a website that is easy even for me to keep up to date. David and Jill have a genuine interest in making sure I had what I wanted and needed and I now have national and international exposure.”
