In 2012 we took over the management of Impact Arts’ website, transferring its design and content on to our own system to make it easier for the team there to manage.
With the site having been up and running for a number of years, it was showing its age by 2015, so Impact Arts came back to us and asked us to refresh it.
The charity had a huge selection of great pictures and works on some fascinating projects, and we were able to use these to put together a really interesting site. It uses the organisation’s branding and colour scheme but ensures those elements get out of the way in favour of strong imagery and simple-to-read text throughout.
We tried to ensure that the site was set up to cope with a whole range of scenarios and different types of content. We also designed an image-led blog section, which made ore sense for the type of work Impact Arts does and really promotes what they’re up to.
We ensured every page linked through to an external donation platform, to encourage people to support the organisation’s incredible work.
How it works
The site is powered by our in-house content management system, fuzzylime (cms+), which was already in use by Impact Arts on their old site. This ensures it’s easy for the team to keep the site up to date and we made some specific tweaks to the system to meet their needs, particularly around using strong imagery throughout the site.
