We were approached and asked to develop a new portal for fishing in Lochaber, aimed at encouraging more angling visitors to discover this unspoilt corner of Scotland.
The team at Lochaber Fisheries Trust, who are behind the project, had commissioned stunning photographs of the area and it was a joy to be able to include these within the site.
On our side, the side had to be attractive and informative, with a range of details for visitors looking to find out what was available at each fishery.
It also had to contain more broad information for visiting the area and the rules for fishing in Lochaber.
We developed the site to include all of that information, as well as including videos that were filmed for the project. Finally, we had a day out in Lochaber to train the team at the Trust in how to manage the site and add new fisheries going forward.
How it works
The site is powered by our fuzzylime (cms+) system, with a special add-in that powers the fisheries section. This allows it to plot the fisheries on a map and lets visitors enable and disable these based on the different types of fishing on offer there.
What they said
“When any of my clients need a new website I have no hesitation in working with Jill and David at fuzzylime. Having worked with them on other projects they were the natural choice when Lochaber Fisheries Trust needed a totally new look for their website.
“At every stage of the project they were a pleasure to work with, easy to talk to and always quick to respond. As a team they bring a combination of business understanding and technical capability that made the whole project flow. From the initial briefing, through each stage of development and ending with the (very helpful) onsite client training session they were focused on delivering what the client needed.
“The end result is a pleasure to browse and the client is delighted. I’m confident it will be a key marketing tool in increasing the numbers of fishing trips to Lochaber!”
