fuzzylime was appointed to design, develop and write the content for a new site aimed at cruise passengers docking at South Queensferry and Rosyth.
A voluntary group had been set up to greet these passengers and offer them options of what they'd like to do during their time in Scotland. The group, which included representatives from Fife Council and Queensferry Ambition, wanted to expand its offering with a website providing information for passengers before they travelled.
We won a tender process to develop the site and worked closely with the team behind what was by this stage known as Cruise Forth to put it in place.
The project had a very tight turnaround of only six weeks from appointment to launch and we were able to keep it on schedule throughout.
As well as designing the site to include elements such as a weather forecast and a handy "my ship" section, we were also asked to write much of the content for areas such as lists of attractions and more reasons to visit the Forth area.
How it works
The site is powered by our fuzzylime (cms+) software. We developed a couple of add-ons specifically for the Cruise Forth team, allowing them to easily manage the list of ships that are calling at the ports they cover as well as adding in new attractions and listing events on the site as it grows.
