fuzzylime won a tender to produce a web presence for Cruise Forth - a group comprising representation from Fife Council, Queensferry Ambition and the local volunteer group.
The timetable was very tight and we are delighted to say the site has launched on schedule - all those journalism deadlines have paid off! The Cruise Forth website gets its official unveiling in Miami next week but unfortunately we don't get to go!
Cruise Forth hopes to keep cruise passengers in the local areas when they dock at South Queensferry or Rosyth for the day.
The cruise lines promote these stops as "Edinburgh" and the group behind Cruise Forth wanted to show passengers the wealth of history and attractions in the local area so they could make an informed choice about how they wanted to spend their day.
The site had to be bright and inviting and "future proof". The website offers a lot of information which had to be easy to find and understand for visitors. As many visitors will be accessing the website from abroad we integrated a Google Translate option.
As well as designing and building this site we were also commissioned to write a lot of the copy - especially compiling the attractions guide.
This site is not only useful for cruise passengers but also offers anyone with an interest in visiting Fife or South Queensferry a taste of what to do and what to see.
