New alliance

fuzzylime was delighted to be approached by the Neurological Alliance of Scotland to tender for the project to revamp its existing website.

The Neurological Alliance of Scotland is an umbrella body of organisations and groups representing the many people living with or affected by a neurological condition. It is a subject we have personal experience of so were delighted to be awarded the commission.

The Alliance had outgrown its existing website and was keen to improve its online presence to provide lots more information and help for its members and visitors. We met with Candice Dillen, the Alliance's national co-ordinator, to discuss what the Alliance was looking for from its improved web presence and worked together to meet these needs.

We took inspiration from the Alliance's existing logo and colour palette and designed round them so they blended seamlessly into the new design.

One of the major services the Alliance provides is a resource section and the charity was keen that the information and resources it had were more widely available and accessible via the website.

Because of the vast amount of information, this section had to be well structured so that visitors could find the information they were looking for quickly and easily. We also added a search function to make it even quicker for visitors to find the information they are looking for.

The Alliance had also commissioned a DVD to educate people about their work and wanted this footage to be available via the website. The full film is 30 minutes long so visitors can choose to watch the entire film, watch a shorter, edited version or to select by the chapter that is most relevant to their needs.
