the little green blog

fuzzylime was invited to tender to redesign the website of John Fairgrieve, the man behind NGM Accountants.
We met John and he had very firm ideas on what he wanted from his website and, just as importantly, what he didn't want. He was very clear on the latter: he did not want a boring and dull website - in fact he wanted it to look like anything but an accountant's website!
John had an existing logo and corporate colour scheme and we incorporated that into the finished design for
www.ngmaccountants.com.
The website includes a lot of useful information and factsheets and we worked closely with John to ensure that the site was as easy to navigate as possible so none of these valuable resources were lost to the visitor.
John is an avid blogger and user of social media so we integrated his blog into the website and linked to his Facebook page and Twitter account.
More details on the project are now available in our
portfolio.

We've worked with cameraman Alan Dickinson on a few projects and were delighted to work with him again with his CD Media cap on!
CD Media comprises Alan in partnership with former BBC Scotland correspondent Andrew Cassell. The pair approached fuzzylime as they were looking for an online showcase for their film productions.
We worked around their existing logo and colour scheme to create a platform for several of their showreels. These films will be updated regularly so they needed a system which could be updated easily.

Ally Gorman approached fuzzylime as he was looking for an online shop to sell his patented AG Neckwear neckwarmer.
He had already trialled the neckwarmer with football supporters, police officers, climbers and golfers among its fans and Ally felt it was time to offer it to the public with a new website,
www.agneckwear.co.uk.
Although Ally only wanted to sell one product online, he wanted to be able to offer many options: three sizes, 24 colours and personalisation – so needed a shop which could handle so many choices.
fuzzylime was happy to oblige and you can see the finished result at
www.agneckwear.co.uk.

No, not us! We've been revamping the front end of a system used by estate agents to find out information about their market share (and, possibly even more importantly, that of their competitors).
If that sounds familiar, we designed the online presence of its little brother,
Property Sleuth, which launched earlier this year. This time round, we were specifically tackling the usability of the full system.
We examined it and identified the flaws with it as it stood – while very powerful, it wasn't simple to use. So we went back to basics, looking at it from a client's point of view, identifying what they'd need to do with it and making it really straightforward to find.
The project involved overhauling the design of the system as it stood, and making some changes to the back-end coding so it presented things in a more user-friendly way.
And while we can't link to the system itself – it's for clients only, obviously! – you can get a sample of how it looks here.

portfolio.

At the end of January, we completed and launched
Property Sleuth, a service for estate agents to get the latest information on their market share.
Louise Richley, the head of the company behind Property Sleuth, contacted us again asking us to complete a site for her new business,
Beyond Digital Systems – a company that specialises in digital signage (the electronic billboards that you often see around towns and cities, as well as in other firms).
The company's in-house design team had already produced a logo and some other design elements and we incorporated these into the finished site. It aims to communicate information about a relatively complex subject clearly and provide background – as well as allowing people to get in touch with the company quickly and easily.
More details on the site are in our
portfolio.
